The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Transformation, Forestry, Fisheries and Industry in collaboration with the World Food Day Committee 2015 have honoured 21 retired agricultural officers for their outstanding performance, hard work and dedication to the Ministry of Agriculture during their years of service.
Delivering the feature address at the awards ceremony last night at the Murray Height’s hotel, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Raymond Ryan said the retirees all offered sterling contributions to the Ministry.
He noted that collectively, they would have offered over 400 years of knowledge and experience to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Mr. Ryan also disclosed that consideration will be given to the implementation of an objective performance appraisal system within the Ministry of Agriculture, so that persons can be rewarded even prior to retirement for their hard work.
