Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Saboto Caesar says this year’s budget allocation to his Ministry will be used to finance a number of development projects which have a critical and important role to play in the advancement and development of this country.

In the 2016 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure, the total approved for the ministry is EC 46 million, 889 thousand, 742 dollars, of which 20 million, 200 thousand, 642 dollars has been allocated for recurrent expenditure, while, 26 million, 689 thousand, 100 EC dollars goes towards capital expenditure.

Minister Caesar in making his contribution to the 2016 budget debate last Friday explained that “The total allocation recurrent and capital for the 2016 fiscal year represents an increase of EC$6 million.

He outlined several programmes approved in the Capital estimates.
