Matters relating to the proposed new minibus fares, road safety and reckless driving will be discussed by the National Omnibus Association (NOBA) at a press event to be held next week.

The National Omnibus Association will hold a Press Conference on Tuesday April 18 at 10:00am at the Haddon Hotel Conference Room.

In an interview with WEFM News on Thursday morning, President of NOBA Mr. Anthony Bacchus says discussions will also center on customer service and a workshop for Minibus Operators to be held on April 25 and 26.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bacchus is appealing to ALL Mini Bus Owners, Drivers and Conductors to make a special effort to attend the upcoming workshop later this month which seeks to address the issue of reckless driving by some van drivers.

“I am asking all drivers, all owners, all conductors to please attend these workshops that are scheduled on April 25 and 26, 2017 at Haddon Hotel.”

“These workshops will be beneficial to the operation of your mini buses on the roads of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” Mr. Bacchus said.

The President of NOBA said the upcoming workshops are sponsored by the Insurance Companies so they are trying to build the confidence back into the insurance companies for safe driving on the roads.

According to Mr. Bacchus the workshops on April 25 and 26 will be held from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and will be facilitated by officials of the Traffic Department of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force and the Insurance Companies, among others.
