Sea operations Starlift Steel Orchestra dethroned Sion hill Euphonium last night to claim the title of Senior Panorama Champions for 2015.
The competition formed part of the Steel and Glitter Show held last night at Victoria Park.
Playing a rendition of Alston Becket Cyrus’ Song ‘Teaser’, Starlift amassed a total of 275 points to deny Sion Hill Euphonium the opportunity to claim the Senior panorama title for a 7th consecutive year.
Sion Hill earned 269 points.
Third position went to Winfresh-Scotia bank South East Steel Orchestra with 249 points, with Potential Steel Orchestra placing fourth with 220 points.
Meanwhile, in the Section of the Bands Competition, SVG Players International took the top spot, followed by Blondie Bird and Friends, Tribes Mas Band and Imagination Mas Band in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place respectively.
