Military Parade and Flag Raising Ceremony for official opening of Argyle International Airport takes place today

A Military Parade and Flag Raising Ceremony for the Official Opening of the Argyle International Airport (AIA) will be held today.

The ceremony takes place from 4:30pm and will feature an Inspection of Parade by Governor General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne, and raising of the Flag by Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Ralph E. Gonsalves.

There will also be the unveiling of a plaque by Prime Minister Gonsalves, and greetings from Minister of National Mobilisation, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Persons with Disabilities and Youth and Area Representative for South Windward, Frederick Stephenson, and Sir Vincent Beache, Member of the Board of Directors, of the International Airport Development Company (IADC).

Addresses will come from Prime Minister Gonsalves and Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) His Excellency Mr. Bau-Shan Ger.
