Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says the Government is taking every precaution to protect its investment in the Buccament Bay Resort.
Buccament Bay Resort here in St. Vincent has been closed since December after its electricity was disconnected amidst financial problems, including an inability to pay its staff.
Chairman of Harlequin Group of companies, David Ames, was on Friday February 17, 2017, charged by the UK’s Serious Frauds Office (SFO) with three counts of fraud.
Responding to a question posed by a reporter at a news conference on Monday, Prime Minister Gonsalves said that while details regarding the precise charges are not known, he will be keeping a keen eye on the government’s investment in the project.
