The Coroner’s Inquest into the road traffic incident that occurred at Rock Gutter on January 12th, this year, resulting in the death of seven students commenced yesterday October 5th, at the Georgetown Magistrate Court.

According to the Searchlight newspaper, some of the persons giving testimony yesterday included secondary school students who survived when the minibus in which they were travelling ran off the road and plunged into the sea at Rock Gutter, a community between Owia and Fancy.

The inquest which is being led by Coroner, Rickie Burnett will continue every day this week from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
