Industry experts from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are gathering for a Panel discussion and Idea Generation Session today November 28 to discuss the current climate-related challenges being faced here and the opportunities for potential business development.

This Idea generation session is a part of the Caribbean GreenTech Start-Up Boot Camp which is being hosted by the Caribbean Climate Innovation Centre (CCIC) in collaboration with local Non-profit company Constructive Solutions Inc.

The boot camp will run from November 30 to December 2, 2017 at the Harvest Conference Centre, on the Top Floor of Options Supermarket, at Arnos Vale.

The sessions will run from 2:00 pm-4:00pm and 4:00pm – 6:00 pm.

Dr. Ashley John-Executive Director of Constructive Solutions Inc. said that through the Caribbean GreenTech Start-up boot camps, start-ups focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency, water and or waste management, and sustainable agriculture will receive opportunities for further development.

Dr. John said following the three-day boot camp participants will on December 2 engage in an idea-pitching competition for a chance to win cash prizes.

To date, the boot camps have attracted over 300 attendees, presented over 30 new business ideas, awarded prizes worth tens of thousands of dollars and drawn the attention of regional investors investigating involvement with the top ideas.

Through the Caribbean GreenTech Start-up boot camps, start-ups focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency, water/waste management, sustainable agriculture/agribusiness, and resource use efficiency will receive opportunities for further development.
