Regional carrier LIAT is operating its final flights into and out of the E. T. Joshua Airport at Arnos Vale today as it prepares to transition operations to the International Airport at Argyle effective tomorrow February 14, 2017.

Shavar Maloney, Corporate Communications Manager at LIAT, speaking on WEFM’s morning programme last Friday via telephone from Antigua said that LIAT will be operating several scheduled flights out of E.T. Joshua airport today.

He explained that after the last flight tonight, LIAT will ferry its aircraft from E.T. Joshua Airport to Argyle International Airport, where its first flight, 560, to Barbados, will depart at 6:45 in the morning.

Mr. Maloney is reminding passengers that check in begins two hours before departure and closes forty five minutes before departure.

Meanwhile, he said LIAT is pleased that Argyle International Airport is opening because they see it as giving a new comfort to customers, and anticipate that there will be improvements in its own operations with the coming on stream of this international airport which will help reduce some of the challenges the airline experienced at E. T. Joshua airport.
