Kristian ‘Lil Kris’ Christopher from the Layou Government School has retained the crown in the Junior Calypso Primary school category for another year.

‘Lil Kris” the emerged winner following the staging of the 2018 Junior Calypso and Soca Competitions yesterday afternoon at the Victoria Park. His song was entitled “Oh what a tangle web”.

Second place went to Danique ‘Sweet Dazell’ Edwards of Greiggs Government School with her son “AIA is good”, while Matthew John of Stubbs Government School placed third with his cong “Welcome to AIA”.

In the Secondary School Calypso category, Damian ‘Boney Man’ Noel of St. Martin’s Secondary placed first with his song “Silence Never”.

M’riah ‘Young Siah’ Robertson of West St. George Secondary placed second with her son “Minivan lover”, and Christopher Bacchus of St. Martin’s Secondary School, third, with his song “Caribbean dream”.

The Junior Soca Monarch competition was won by Teshikaa ‘Short T’ Andrews from the Bishop’s College Kingstown.

M’riah ‘Young Siah’ Robertson from West St. George Secondary and Kevisha ‘Princess Levy’ Richardson from the Biabou Methodist School, placed second and third, respectively.
