The Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force has launched an investigation into the death of a Questelles resident, who shot at members of the local constabulary, early Saturday morning.

Preliminary investigations are that police officers were on duty at Huffles Ranch, Belvedere, a popular night club, when they heard gun shots in the vicinity shortly after 5:30 am.

According to a police press release, the police saw a man shooting at another man and gave chase.

The gunman, who was later identified as Rawlson Williams of Questelles, started firing shots in the direction of the police, who returned fire.

Williams’ body was subsequently discovered near to a .357 Magnum revolver in some nearby bushes.

A post-mortem examination will be carried on the body of the deceased soon.
