ProjectMEN2020 joins with the men of the Caribbean and the rest World in observing International Men’s Day (IMD) today.

International Men’s Day is celebrated annually on the 19 November and was founded in 1999 by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh a history lecturer at University of the West Indies in Trinidad Tobago.

Since the 1960’s there have been persistent international calls for the creation of an IMD.

To commemorate; International Men’s Day, ProjectMen2020 will be joining with the Gender Affairs Division within the Ministry of National Mobilization, in hosting a Men’s Symposium under the theme “Men and Masculinity Shattering the Social Expectations of a Man and Success” at the Methodist Church Hall from 5pm – 7pm today.

The featured speaker is Mr. Conroy Huggins, coordinator of ProjectMEN2020. All men and boys are invited to the symposium.

International Men’s Day 2019 is being held on the theme “Making a Difference for Men and Boys”.
