Solid Waste Manager at the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA), Mr. Winsbert Quow says the issue of illegal dumping continues to be a serious problem, particularly in capital city, Kingstown.

Speaking at a press conference late last month hosted by the CWSA, Mr. Quow noted that despite the efforts taken by the Public Health Department through the Sanitation Unit to cleanup Kingstown, many persons still persist in disposing of their litter inappropriately.

Mr. Quow said some business entities are also engaging in illegal dumping.

Mr. Quow said they are working with the Public Health Department to investigate and possibly prosecute persons found guilty of engaging in illegal dumping.
