Leeward Islands Hurricanes have moved into second spot in the standings while four-time reigning champions, Guyana Jaguars, have stretched their lead at the top, following the seventh round of matches in the Regional Four-Day Championship.
Hurricanes, third at the start of the round, defeated neighbours Windward Islands Volcanoes by 12 runs at Windsor Park in Dominica, in a superb come-from-behind effort.
Set 241 for victory, Volcanoes appeared on course for an easy victory at 222 for five but Hurricanes grabbed the last five wickets for six runs to pull off a sensational victory.
They are now second on 83.2 points, 29.2 points behind Jaguars who halted their two-game losing streak with a seven-wicket win over Jamaica Scorpions in Georgetown.
Jaguars sit comfortably on 112.4 points, further padding their previously diminishing lead with the win.
