The police have launched an investigation into the death of Paul Liverpool, who lost his life when his motor cycle ran off the road this morning on the Grenadine isle of Bequia.

According to Police, Preliminary investigations show that Liverpool, a 37-year-old man who originate from Georgetown but resided at Paget Farm, was driving a motor cycle along the Friendship Bay public road at approximately 7am, when he lost control and collided with a coconut tree.

Liverpool, who plied his trade as a heavy equipment operator, died on the spot.

A post mortem examination will be carried out on the body of the deceased.

Police say there have been 11 road accidents this year, which resulted in the deaths of 19 persons.
