Residents of South Rivers and surrounding communities can now benefit fully from the services from the General Employees’ Co-operative Credit Union, (GECCU) following the official opening of a new sub-office in South Rivers, yesterday.
This branch is the fifth sub-office to be opened by the Credit Union as it remains committed to providing its members access to safe, sound, inclusive and comparable financial services.
Speaking at Monday’s opening ceremony, GECCU’s President, Mr. Kelvin Pompey said the decision to open a branch in South Rivers was taken in an effort to make access to finances easier for residents of rural areas like South Rivers.
Mr. Pompey is encouraging residents of South Rivers and surrounding communities who have accumulated sufficient savings in shares, to borrow from the credit union for productive purposes.
