Four people, including a woman, are due to appear in court this week after Bahamian law enforcement officials said they seized more than 600 pounds of marijuana at a house on Sunday.

Members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) said acting on intelligence, they seized the 633 pounds of marijuana after executing a search warrant at a house located at Boatswain Hill off Carmichael Road, on the outskirts of the capital.

According to CMC News, the police said that three males and an adult female were arrested and taken into custody and that the four suspects are expected to appear in court later this week to be formally charged.

The authorities did not disclose the identity of those arrested, nor have they given any dollar value of the drugs seized.
