Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves says police have suspected arson in relation to a massive fire that broke out after 2:00am today, at the state-owned Public Works facility in Arnos Vale, destroying a building on the compound and its contents.
The Building is said to have contained building material purchased for government programmes such as the Lives to Live Programme and other initiatives.
Speaking at a Press conference this morning, Prime Minister Gonsalves said this is a crime against the poor, vulnerable and marginalized.
Prime Minister Gonsalves noted that the fire today, occurred in the context of people who are eager to set fires.
