The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire, which destroyed the section of a building at Questelles at about midnight on October 15th, 2015.

According to the Police, the fire reportedly gutted the top wooden floor section of the building which was used as a bar and waiting area.

The ground floor concrete area of the building housed the office of Unity Labour Party’s (ULP) South Leeward Area Representative, Senator Jomo Thomas. This section was not damaged.

The wooden and wall structure was owned by Robert Cottle, who is deceased.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
