Six students will be competing in the finals of the Lions Club South, LIME and NIS sponsored Secondary Schools National Public Speaking Competition that takes place this Thursday at the Methodist Church Hall from 7:00 pm.
The finalists are Aaron Weekes of the St. Vincent Grammar School; Jaykel Mars-Bishop’s College Kingstown; Nadia Rogers-Mountain View Adventist Academy; Shemar Dennis-West St. George Secondary School; Deandre Quashie-Georgetown Secondary School; and Delano King of the Troumaca Ontario Secondary School.
The students will discuss the topic: “Our Approach to Homosexuality is a Reflection of our Failure to Embrace Diversity and Greater Tolerance for People who are Different.”
