The Director of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC), Mr. Apollo Knights, has expressed displeasure with the quality of some services being offered by the main telecommunications provider in this country.

Delivering remarks yesterday at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce conference room to launch a mobile application for consumers, Mr. Knights said that in recent times a lot of persons have been complaining particularly about the fixed internet service being offered here.

Mr. Knights said he believes this is a direct result of the merger in 2015 of Cable and Wireless Communications, the parent company for LIME, and Columbus International Inc, the operators of FLOW.

Mr. Knights said as a regulator, the NTRC has been taking steps to address this issue of poor service delivery by telecoms providers; however, he noted that they can only work within the framework of the laws that presently exist.

He is encouraging members of the public to file any complaints they may have about the quality of service offered by the telecoms providers, with the NTRC.
