The Saint Vincent Meteorlogical Office reports that as of 5 am, Category 1 Hurricane Danny was centered near 13.0 N 45.7 W or approximately 1030 miles East of the Windward Islands.
It continues to strengthen as it moves west – north west 10 mph. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 80 mph.
Additional strengthening is expected in the next 24 hours, thereafter a weakening trend as it inches closer to the north.
While presently, there are no coastal watches or warnings, all residents are advised to stay alert as the Saint Vincent Meteorological Office continues to monitor this system.
The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will continue to monitor and provide updates and releases as necessary.
