The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) will launch its latest New Generation CAPE subject, animation and game design, on Saturday at the KingstOOn Festival in Jamaica.

The launch will take place at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, which is hosting KingstOON.

The new syllabus describes animation and game design as “a course of study that focuses on the process of creating motion and shape change illusion as well as the art of applying design and aesthetics for animation and game development.”

CAPE animation and game design will be taught in schools from September 2016 and the first examination offered in May/June 2017.
