The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force in collaboration with Guardsman SVG Limited and the Insurance Brokers today commenced two days of workshops for members of Neighbourhood Watch Groups in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The workshop held on the theme “partnering with and empowering neighborhood watch groups to function effectively – is being held at the Foreign Affairs Conference Room.

In his remarks at a special ceremony this morning to mark the forum officially opened, Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibilities for Crime Richard Browne – said neighborhood watch groups are one of the oldest and most effective crime prevention methods and are beneficial to communities.

ACP Browne is encouraging communities throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines to establish watch groups.

The workshop is expected to wrap up tomorrow.
