Commissioner of Police Colin John, has announced that crime has been on the decrease in most categories in recent years in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2019.

Commissioner John who made the announcement while  addressing a large gathering of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) on Monday 2nd December 2019, on a number of pertinent issues, disclosed that during November 2018, there were thirty reported murders, to that of nineteen for the same period in 2019. He attributed this reduction to the commendable effort and dedication of members of the organization to the prevention and detection of crimes.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Frankie Joseph stated that all police officers are placed in a position of responsibility, reminding the officers that trust is vital.

Addresses were also heard from Assistant Commissioner Richard Browne and Station Sergeant Mr. Brenton Smith, Chairman of the Police Welfare Association.
