Coreas Distribution Limited (CDL), one of the newest Companies in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and a former Division of Coreas Hazells Inc. (CHI), is joining the fight to clean up Kingstown and to get rid of the Aedes Aegypti Mosquito, the main cause of Dengue and Zika viruses.
On Saturday March 12th, the staff of Coreas Distribution Limited will set aside their Sales and Marketing skills and take-up their Water Boots, Rakes and Shovels to clean up the River located along North River Road.
A release from the company says, the employees will collect all the garbage in the river from the areas of Block 2000 down to the Sea at Rose Place.
CEO of Coreas Distribution Limited, Mr. Jimmie Forde said the staff feels a sense of responsibility to assist in the clean-up of the Environment to aid in the eradication of these dangerous Mosquitoes, especially since an outbreak of Zika will seriously affect the productivity of our labour.
Mr. Forde also said that everyone has to a role to play in keeping St. Vincent and the Grenadines clean, and he is urging the other members of the business community to join the fight to clean up our Environment.
