The Sea Turtle Conservation Programme for St Vincent and the Grenadines (STCPSVG) being implemented by the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority in collaboration with the Fisheries Division will be hosting a Community Consultation today with residents of San Souci and neighbouring communities.

The purpose of the consultation is to inform residents about the importance of the San Souci Beach as a Sea Turtle Protected nesting habitat.

Feedback will also be solicited in order to strengthen collaborative efforts with the community to support the progress of the Sea Turtle Conservation Programme for St. Vincent and the Grenadines and obtain community feedback for a turtle nesting sign or muriel to be erected in close proximity to the Beach.

Today’s consultation will be held at the North Union Learning Resource Centre from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.

Community persons from San Souci area and neighbouring communities are encouraged to attend the consultation.
