The School Breakfast Program at the Clare Valley Government School received a tremendous boost today with the donation this morning of a food hamper from WEFM Radio.

The donation was made as part of activities for WEFM’s 20th anniversary, which is being celebrated in the month of April.

Radio Announcer and Marketing Assistant at WEFM, Mrs. Crystal Bynoe-Greaves in her remarks at the handing over ceremony at the school, said that students who eat a healthy breakfast are more likely to improve their memory, concentration, energy, mood and attend school more often.

Meanwhile, Acting Principal of Clare Valley Government School, Desiree Wilson expressed appreciation to WEFM for the generous donation which she said will go a very long way in providing breakfast to about 20 students.

She explained that the school breakfast programme is normally supported with funds from teachers of the school.

That was Desiree Wilson, Acting Principal of Clare Valley Government School.
