Chairman of the National Reconciliation Advisory Committee (NRAC), Pastor Stephen Ollivierre is calling on Vincentians to ensure peaceful and violent free elections.

In a message to the nation, the NRAC Chairman said that while citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines …have a constitutional duty and a right to vote, we should not impose our views on others, neither should we mock nor belittle others because of their political persuasion.

He noted that ridiculing another person because of the party they support will lead to conflict and deepen social divisions.

He said that after the election process is completed we have to live together, work together, to move our country forward. Therefore, he is calling on persons to make the choice to be peaceful so as to have violent free elections.
