“Facilitating Youth Entrepreneurship: A Catalyst for Employment and Economic Development” is the theme under which the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED) will host a Youth Business Forum next week.

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 7 at the Methodist Church Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

It comes as the CED continues its thrust towards developing a spirit of youth entrepreneurship here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This session will bring together students from the Barrouallie Technical Institute and the SVG Community College with local business owners, whose products will be on display.

It will also feature presentations by the National Insurance Services (NIS), SVG Bureau of Standards, Commerce and Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), and VincyKlus Inc.

The Youth Business Forum will be delivered as part of CED’s Youth Business and Entrepreneurship Training (YOUBET) programme, which seeks to expose young people entrepreneurial and business education, as a means of encouraging them to seek alternative avenues for employment creation and income generation.

Over 40 students at the Barrouallie Technical Institute who participated in a YOUBET Seminar from November 13-16 are among those who will attend next Thursday’s session.
