The Carriere Nine Mornings Committee will be pulling out all of the stops this year as the group celebrates its 18th year milestone.

The celebrations will commence this Friday December 13th with the launch of its Christmas and Nine Mornings activities to be staged at Muriel Davis yard in Carriere.

According to its Public Relations Officer, Jennifer Richardson, the launch will take the form of a community concert with performances from members of the community, the Carriere 9 Mornings Choir, Carlton “CP” Hall and XS Steel Orchestra among others.

The audience on Friday night will also be treated to a taste of Nine Mornings in Carriere.

Bishop Stephen Ollivierre, of Faith Temple Church will do the exhortation whilst former Minister of Culture Hon. Rene Baptiste will deliver the feature address where she will speak on the importance of preserving culture.
