The CARICOM Youth Ambassadors (CYA) is seeking new Committee Members for the 2019 year.
The CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Committee is selected each year through an application portal available on the CYA’s Facebook Page.
Interested individuals who wish to apply must be between the ages of 18 and 30 to be considered.
The Committee will consist of persons who are enthusiastic about CARICOM, the pillars of integration, youth work and service.
Persons selected are expected to promote regional integration, the empowerment of youth, various social issues that affect young Vincentians and be committed to getting things done.
Some of the work one can expect to partake in while on the committee will include but is not limited to; advocating for the fight to stop Violence against Women and Girls, Promoting Safe Sex habits in collaboration with the National AIDS Secretariat, attending training sessions and lectures to represent the Committee and much more.
Joining the Committee will allow members to network with persons who share similar interests as them, along with developing skills such as the ability to lead and plan. Meetings are held monthly.
Applications are now open and will close on December 1st, 2018.
