The C.W. Prescod Primary School yesterday commissioned its new Sick Bay and Counselling Room as part of efforts to ensure the holistic development of its students.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony, Principal of the School, Suzette Abbott-King, said the project was funded by the Friends of the Methodist Church as part of their community outreach programme.
Mrs. Abbott-King said the commissioning of the new facilities are another indication of the School’s commitment to the health and well-being of its students.
Mrs. Abbott-King said specialized programmes such as counselling, are intended to provide much needed guidance to students to aid in their development.
