The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) has rolled out its summer road cleaning program in various communities throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The program is expected to run for a period of 2 – 3 weeks at a cost of approximately EC$1.5 M and will employ approximately 3500 persons. These include gangs, jobbers and truckers.

BRAGSA would be focusing mainly on the clearing of drains and road verges.

A statement from BRAGSA stated that although we are into the hurricane season so far we have not had any severe weather condition affecting St. Vincent and the Grenadines; this does not mean we should become complacent.

BRAGSA is therefore urging the general public to keep drains clear and to protect their surroundings during the hurricane season.
