The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cooperative Sector joins with cooperators worldwide in celebrating Cooperative Month during the month of October under the theme “People Helping People.”

This annual commemoration brings people together to reflect on their cooperative history and achievements, and to promote the cooperative philosophy of mutual self-help.

Speaking this morning at a ceremony to launch the activities to be held here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines throughout this month, President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cooperative Credit Union League, Kelvin Pompey said the activities planned include an Ecumenical Church Service to be held tomorrow at the Kingstown Methodist Church.

Mr. Pompey said the various credit unions and cooperative societies will also be hosting activities.

Mr. Pompey said the month of activities will conclude on October 30th with the Police Cooperative Credit Union’s karaoke and Domino Competition at the Police Canteen upstairs the Kingstown Vegetable market.
