A Private Member’s Motion on Transportation of School Children is among matters to be dealt with when the meeting of the House of Assembly takes place tomorrow July 27, 2017.

The motion will be moved by the Honourable Senator Carlos James and seconded by the Honourable Senator Deborah Charles.

According to the Order Paper the Motion outlines proposals for the purchase by the Government for on-leasing to Vincentian entrepreneurs for operation as school buses ten 25-seater buses or coaches; that the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Laws be amended to provide improved regulation of the quality of road transportation; and that the students from the Grenadines who attend Secondary Schools or the College on St. Vincent be accorded an ever greater level of support with their transportation.

The Order Paper also contains 12 Bills that will receive their first reading tomorrow.
They include the Supplementary Appropriation Bill, 2017; the Public Sector Investment Loan (No.2) Bill; Nathaniel Williams Pension (Declaration) Bill; Calma Balcombe Pension (Declaration) Bill; Christine Sam Pension (Declaration) Bill; Cauldric Browne Pension (Declaration) Bill; the Immigration (Restriction) (Amendment) Bill; the Anti-Terrorist Financing and Proliferation (Amendment) Bill; the ECCB Harmonised Credit Reporting Bill; the Eastern Caribbean Partial Credit Guarantee Corporation Agreement Bill; the Whaling Industry (Regulation) (Application to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines) (Repeal) Bill; and the Vincy Table Tennis Foundation Incorporation Bill.

Parliament is scheduled to begin at nine in the morning.
