A benefit concert will be held here this weekend to aid in the disaster relief efforts in the Commonwealth of Dominica in wake of Tropical Storm Erika that impacted that island on August 27th, 2105, resulting in millions of dollars in damage and the death of several persons.
The concert is being spearheaded by Senator the Hon. Camillo Gonsalves, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Commerce and Information and Communication Technology with Project Management services being provided by Bernadette Ambrose-Black, Executive Director of Invest SVG.
The Dominica Relief Benefit Concert will take place on November 1st, at the Victoria Park commencing at 6:00pm.
This event will be hosted by the Youth of SVG and will feature Jamaican Artistes Jah Mason, TOK, Mr. Vegas, Sizzla, Protoje; Local Artists- Mad Skull, Luta, Fireman Hooper, Becket, Hyper 4000, K-Netik, Shannelle McKenzie, Kevin Lyttle, Half Pint, Keith Currency; and Barbadian Artist-Alison Hinds.
One Hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Dominica relief and recovery efforts.
