The 2nd Smart Health Care facility in St. Vincent and the Grenadines was officially opened here yesterday, in the North Leeward Community of Chateaubelair.

Yesterday’s programme heard remarks from a number of Government officials including Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves and Minister of Health the Hon. Luke Browne.

Renovated at a cost of 2 million dollars, the hospital in Chateaubelair is the second phase of PAHO’s Smart hospital project, with funding by the United Kingdom Department for International Development and this country’s Government.

During yesterday’s ceremony, Minister of Health Luke Browne said the facility forms part of improved service delivery within this country’s health sector.

Minister Browne said several other health facilities across the country are expected to be upgraded, as part of the Government’s thrust towards improved health care to Vincentians.
