The Internet Society Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Chapter, in collaboration with the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), will be hosting the second annual Cybersecurity Symposium tomorrow December 12, 2018.

The forum will be held under the theme “Defending the Local Internet.”

This Cybersecurity symposium in St. Vincent will bring together community, private sector, academia and government representatives to discuss critical questions around the steps necessary to develop a secure, robust, resilient and vibrant local Internet economy with a focus on developing security best practices for Internet-enabled local applications and services, that meet local needs, while creating regional and global opportunities.

The forum will feature presentations, and panel discussions on topics relevant to entrepreneurs, business owners, students, policy makers, public-sector officers, and community development groups.

It will offer attendees a holistic view of the issues, threats and opportunities in leveraging the internet for economic and social empowerment.

The symposium will be held from 9:00am to 4:00pm tomorrow on the Ground Floor of the Methodist Church Hall.
