Primary school students throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines will have an opportunity to display their talent and skills during the staging of the 2018 ECGC Primary Schools Performing Arts Festival (PRISPAF).

The preliminary judging of the Primary Schools Performing Arts Festival will start at the schools from February 6 and run until March 7.

The grand days are scheduled for March 20 and 21 at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown beginning at 9:00 am daily.

Addressing reporters at the launch of the Festival yesterday at the New Kingstown Public Library, Coordinator of PRISPAF and Drama Development Officer in the Ministry of Culture, Martin Quashie said that having children involved in the Performing Arts, helps with their holistic development.

Meanwhile, Dexter Bacchus of the Ministry of Education said the Ministry endorses the Primary School Performing Arts Festival.

He encouraged students, teachers and parents to view the creative arts as a viable career option.
