Police are investigating a drowning which occurred about 10:40am yesterday, just off the Aquatic Club Dock, at Villa.
According to police, Kimron Lowman, a 13 year old, Student of Ottley Hall lost his life while bathing.
A postmortem examination is expected to be performed on the body.
Speaking at a news conference this morning, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said he has spoken with the mother of the victim and expressed sincere condolences to the family.
The Prime Minister also issued an appeal for persons who will be going to the beach over the Easter Weekend to exercise great caution.
